Good Books: Part 4 - Passion and Craft (Economists at Work)

最近考試應該看考試的內容，但是上個星期我訂的書: Passion and Craft寄到了! 所以最近都再看一些經濟大師給下一代的建議。裡面有Dixit, Helpman, Krugman, Mankiw, Myerson, Varian等人對研究經濟的看法。

其中Krugmanu有寫:

I you want to publish a paper in economic theory, there is a safe approach:
make a conceptually minor but mathematically difficult extension to some familar model. Because the basic assumptions of the model are already familiar, people will not regard them as strange; because you have done something technically difficult, you will be respected for your demonstration of firepower.
Unfortunately, you will not have added much to human knowledge.
